A richly textured and beautifully mature Sauternes showing depth, purity and classic botrytised complexity from an exceptional vintage. Aromas rise with saffron, ripe apricot, candied citrus, honeycomb and toasted almond, intertwined with subtle tropical notes and a gentle floral lift.
The palate is opulent yet balanced — layers of apricot, marmalade, dried pineapple and sweet spice unfold with luxurious viscosity. Fresh acidity threads through the richness, giving the wine definition and preventing any sense of heaviness.
The finish is long, silky and warming, lingering on honeyed fruit, citrus peel and roasted nuts. A superb 2009 Sauternes offering both power and finesse, ideal now with cheese, fruit tarts or simply enjoyed on its own.
