The 2017 Ashes & Diamonds Cabernet Franc No. 4 is a bright, herbal-driven red from Napa Valley’s cooler Oak Knoll District. It leads with red cherry, raspberry, and violet aromatics, balanced by earthy notes of bay leaf, graphite, and crushed rock. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh acidity, light tannins, and a mineral finish. Winemaker Diana Snowden Seysses uses native yeast and minimal oak to highlight varietal purity. Ideal with mushroom dishes, grilled lamb, or goat cheese. A restrained, elegant take on Napa Cab Franc that leans more Old World than modern blockbuster.
