This 2024 release from Tasmania’s Derwent Valley is a bright, finely etched Riesling that leans into purity and tension. The nose offers lemon blossom, lime juice, and green apple, with subtle hints of jasmine and crushed slate. On the palate, it’s racy and focused, driven by brisk acidity and a bone-dry finish. Citrus zest and talc-like texture carry through with clarity and precision. There’s no excess sweetness—just lean, mineral freshness. A natural fit for oysters, sashimi, or lightly spiced Asian dishes. Clean, linear, and built for the long haul.
Every wine is scored out of 100 under the Winetrust Scoring System: Flavour 50 (nose 15, palate 25, finish 10), Structure 25, Balance & Harmony 15, Presentation 10. Totals are computed, never hand-entered.
Two bottles minimum, tasted on separate occasions by a named reviewer, unblind — and disclosed. Gifted samples are declared. Price never touches the score — value is rated separately. Nothing below 87 is listed, and key wines are re-tasted at twelve months with their score history preserved.
