Primo Estate’s Angel Gully Clarendon Shiraz 2022 is a graceful, fruit-forward wine from McLaren Vale’s cooler Clarendon sub-region. On the nose, vibrant black plum, blueberry, and crushed red liquorice mingle with lifted violet florals and subtle cedar—indicative of hand-harvested, low-yield fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and juicy acidity, delivering ripe dark berries, warm baking spices, and a touch of dark chocolate. Oak is used sparingly, offering structure without dominance. Ideal with roasted lamb, peppered sausages, or aged Manchego cheese. It’s a polished, elegant Shiraz that balances regional power with finesse.
