Bannockburn’s 2022 Shiraz from Geelong is a cool-climate expression with elegance and edge. Aromatics are lifted and spicy—think black pepper, violets, red plum, and a hint of smoked meat. The palate is medium-bodied with precise red and dark berry fruit, fresh acidity, and fine tannins that lend grip without heaviness. Subtle oak adds polish without masking the purity of fruit and spice. A savoury, structured wine that rewards decanting and pairs well with chargrilled lamb, game, or mushroom-based dishes.
