An intensely concentrated, lusciously sweet Moscatel sourced from ancient low-yielding vines. The aroma profile is powerful and complex: orange blossom, honeycomb, candied citrus peel, apricot conserve and warm spices, all lifted by the grape’s natural floral perfume.
The palate is deeply layered and luxurious — thick, silky sweetness carries flavours of marmalade, dried apricot, golden raisins and caramelised citrus. Despite its richness, there is a clear line of acidity that gives shape and prevents heaviness, allowing the wine to flow rather than sit.
The finish is long, exotic and persistent, echoing honeyed fruit, citrus zest and spice. A monumental dessert wine with real depth and aged complexity, ideal with blue cheese, baked desserts or served on its own as a contemplative end to a meal.
Every wine is scored out of 100 under the Winetrust Scoring System: Flavour 50 (nose 15, palate 25, finish 10), Structure 25, Balance & Harmony 15, Presentation 10. Totals are computed, never hand-entered.
Two bottles minimum, tasted on separate occasions by a named reviewer, unblind — and disclosed. Gifted samples are declared. Price never touches the score — value is rated separately. Nothing below 87 is listed, and key wines are re-tasted at twelve months with their score history preserved.
